The PES capsule filter has dual layer of pleated membrane that allows for serial (pre/final) filtration in a single unit while maximizing throughput. PES membrane offers low extractables, enhanced chemical compatibility, and low protein binding making it the preferred membrane for applications such as filtering pure water, growth media, buffers, high purity chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Available pre-sterilized by EtO or pre-rinsed. Autoclavable for reuse, up to 10 times (121°C, 30min.)

Offered in a wide range of particle size cut-offs and designed for use serially as a prefilter for process waters and chemicals. Thermally welded media prevents fiber slough off and minimize changes in pore size during filtration. Autoclavable for reuse, up to 10 times (121°C, 30min.)

PTFE membrane is solvent and pH resistant and ideal for corrosive fluids, photoresists, and both alkalis and acids. PTFE capsules are available with hydrophobic membrane for solvent filtration or hydrophilic membrane (not listed, inquire) for solvents with higher surface tension and heterogeneous fluid mixtures. Use serially as a prefilter and absolute final filter. Can be sterilized by autoclaving (121°C, 30min.) or treatment with EtO. Note: autoclaving hydrophilic PTFE and allowing membrane to dry will render it hydrophobic (Inquire for hydrophilic PTFE Capsule filters).
