USY series (UF) - Disposable
Ultrafiltration (UF) MWCO Filter/Concentrate Membrane Units (Columns)
These easy to use units are designed to concentrate, separate, purify, and recover biological samples using a luer-lock syringe (centrifugation is not required) on the basis of molecular weight cutoff (MWCO). Three MWCO membrane units are available (10kDA, 50kDA, and 200kDa). These units produce up to 40 times maximum concentration.

UltraFilter MWCO Units with Polysulfone Membrane are designed to be used with a Syringe.
These disposable ultrafiltration units are designed for ease in concentrating, separating, or otherwise purifying small volumes (<2 mL) of liquid samples, on the basis of molecular weight cutoff using positive pressure from a syringe. The unit is constructed of polypropylene cap, acrylic retentive cell, and filtrate cell. Filter media is polysulfone. To use, simply dispense sample into the retentive cell by pipette, place cap on retentive cell, and inject 10 mL of air with a syringe. Remove cap to stop filtration. Sterilization: 25% ethanol, 5% formalin.

Simple Operation (easy-to-assemble):
1.) Using a pipet tip or pipet, dispense up to 2ml of sample into retentive cell and secure cap
2.) To induce the filtration/concentration process, pressurize the unit with 10ml air using a 10ml luer-lock syringe. (Note, to stop filtration flow, remove cap.)
3.) Collect sample, filtrate (or both) for analysis.

MWC ultrafiltration units: USY-1 (10kDa), USY-5 (50kDa), USY-20 (200kDa)

Membrane (filter media): Polysulfone MWCO membrane (Low absorption type for maximum recovery, low hold-up)
Housing: Durable, high-clarity acrylic retentive cell and filtrate cell, polypropylene cap
Packaging: 24 retentive cells, 24 filtrate cells, 4 reusable cell caps (Note, 10ml syringe is not included.)
To sterilize, use 25% ethanol, 5% formalin.
