The Cryolys unit, featuring a patented cooling system, is designed to attach and to work with Precellys homogenizers in tandem. It functions to cool samples quickly and to maintain their temperature between 0°C and 10°C, during the homogenization process. It's main advantage allows for an effective and fast solution in protecting thermo-sensitive molecules from heat degradation during the homgenization process while maintaining their native state and integrity. Thermo protection and the restriction of heat generation enables superior extraction and higher yield from stable RNA and native state proteins from samples. Cryolys units attach, working in tandem, to either the Precellys 24 or the Precellys Evolution homogenizer (Note, each Cryolys unit has its own separate catalog number, same price). Unique Cryolys technology enables fast and efficient cool-down of samples before, during and after the homogenization process. A three flowrate setting on the Cryolys accommodates sample cooling adustments and fine tuning. Plus, the unit's thermometer gauge (probe) permits precise and ongoing monitoring. Note, the Cryolys unit can be used with either dry ice or liquid nitrogen to address cooling requirements.
- Cool-Down: Cools quickly and maintains temperature between 0°C and 10°C to maintain sample integrity
- Efficient cooling probe: Enables precise temperature monitoring before, during and after processing
- Allows for better extraction procedures in achieving higher yields and quality results
- Ideal for thermo-sensitive molecules: RNA, siRNA, metabolites, enzymes, proteins
Patented Technology: Cold air is sprayed beside the tubes to cool samples quickly during homogenization, keeping temperature sensitive molecules in their native state.
