  The new Orbi-Shaker™ CO2 unit is designed for shaking, mixing and aeration applications in extreme environments, including CO2 incubators (using the remote external control unit). The shaker is connected via the remote with a long 'umbilical' electrical cord that reaches from inside the CO2 incubator to outside the CO2 incubator. A portal on the side-wall of the incubator is normally the routing for the cord.  Therefore, the shaker (placed on the inside of the CO2 incubator and the remote on the outside of the incubator), the controlling of incubator can be accomplished without opening the door of the CO2 incubator.  The Orbi-Shaker CO2 unit can withstand temperatures from 0 to 60°C and humidity levels up to 100%.
  
  To avoid contamination, unintentional release of gas or deviations from protocol, both speed and time are set via the included remote control module.  The remote controller allows the user to set and adjust the shaker settings without opening the chamber door(s).

The instrument is supplied with a 13" x 12” platform (made from aluminum) with a non-slip rubber mat. 

Note, because the supplied 13" x 12" platform is made from aluminum and can not be used with our magnetic accessories, two optional steel platforms (available in a small and a large size) are designed to attach (or piggy-back) to the top of the supplied 13" x 12" aluminum platform with screws.  Corresponding magnetic MAGic Clamp accessories are available that easily and magnetically clamp to the optional steel platforms, as listed (sold separately).  Separate magnetic MAGic Clamp Erlenmeyer flasks units, and magnetic test tube and conical tube racks (sold separately). 

This unique magnetic attachment method has been widely recognized as the easiest way to instantly change between flask clamps of different sizes.
