This specially un-coated, highly porous cellophane film is ideal for use when air drying electrophoresis gels in a Gel Drying Frame. The standard procedure involves sandwiching a gel between two sheets of this thin, flexible, transparent film which is then securely framed within the two Gel Drying Frames. The Cellophane's natural porosity allows the gel to air dry at room temperature without the use of an expensive heat, vacuum gel dryer. After drying is complete, the gel is then ready for photography or preserving.
