Applications for Sterile 0.45µm Nylon Syringe Filters:
Known as the "Universal Membrane" for most analytical applications.
Excellent chemical resistance and withstands temperatures up to 180ºC.
Inherently hydrophilic (water loving) with negligible amounts of aqueous extractables.
Compatible with aqueous solutions and many alcohols and solvents used in HPLC.
Nylon binds proteins, DNA, and RNA.
Nylon is very effective in removing bacteria and particles from solutions.
Nylon is compatible with UV crosslinking for nucleic acid attachment.

Use to filter into a 50ml Centrifuge Tube.
(The diameter of the syringe filter is larger than the opening of the tube.  
  The Syringe Filter rests on tube's opening for easy filtration.) 

Each unit is equipped with a female luer-lok inlet for easy attachment to a standard syringe. Membranes are sonically welded to the polypropylene housing for strength and to provide bi-directional capability. Filtration area for 30mm diameter filters is approximately 4.2cm².  Binding capacity is 350mg/cm2.  Hold-up volume approximately <60µl. Bubble point and air and flow rates are integrity tested.

Designed for filtering aqueous materials, these non-sterile disposable syringe filter units are used to filter small volumes (up to 100ml) to sterilize, ultraclean, clarify, or otherwise remove particulates. Each unit is equipped with a female luer-lok inlet for easy attachment to a standard syringe. Membranes are sonically welded to the acrylic housing for strength and to provide bi-directional capability. Maximum operating pressure is 67.5 psi (4.5 bars) at 25°C. Maximum operating temperature is 45°C. .

Bubble point and air and flow rates are integrity tested.
