MagnaProbe Nylon membranes is an inherently positively charged 0.45µm supported membrane, specifically designed to allow numerous reprobings. Higher sensitivity allows researchers to use smaller quantities of DNA sample to obtain reliable results, including easier automated readings of signal with more discrimination. It is ideally suited for DNA research due to more prevalent necessities to work with smaller samples and higher density formats or microarrays. The membrane can provide 12 or more reprobings with consistent results with low background (low noise) and high (strong) signal. High binding capacity of 450µg/cm2 is idea for all Southern and Northerns, including alkaline blotting. MagnaProbe is naturally hydrophilic, wetting out quickly and evenly, plus will not crack, tear or break during hybridization. MagnaProbe is the preferred membrane for multiple reprobings with biotinylated detection systems, with both radioactive (P32) and non-radioactive (chemilumine scent-labeled) probes. MagnaProbe's increased binding, lot-to-lot consistency, high signal retention, inherent charge, and hydrophilicity assures consistent and reproducible results.
