Laxco Alpha series spectrophotometers measure the amount of light that passes through a medium at a specific wavelength. The amount of light absorbed by the medium is proportional to the concentration of the absorbing material, which is based off from Beer’s Law. The amount of light is either measured in percent transmitted (%T) or the amount absorb (Abs).
The Alpha series offer both single and double beam units, designed to meet the needs of conventional and research laboratories. They are ideal for various applications such as: Clinical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Petro Chemistry, Environmental Protections, Food and Beverage labs, Water and WasteWater Labs, and other fields of quality control and research.
