Bottom formats available:
- Flat (F) bottom – most commonly used
- Conical (V) bottom – for microtiter use
- Round (aka U-Bottom) (shown as R or U) bottom – for good mixing
- Chamfered Radius (C) bottom – flat center with rounded corners to improve fluid recovery
Each well in the microplate is designed to have a raised rim to minimize cross contamination and to provide a better fit to the corresponding raised ring in the lid. Lid use reduces excessive evaporative fluid loss. Plates have sidewall notches for automatic/robotic handling. Alpha-numeric coordinates provide for quick sample locations. Plates are compatible with current robotic handling equipment, plate readers, washers and multi-channel pipettors and have an area for bar coding.
Alpha-Numeric plate identification:
• Alpha ID's are located on both Right Top and Left Top of plate.
• Numeric ID's are located on Back Top and Front Top of plate.
• Bottom of plate ID's: Each well is alpha/numeric ID'ed on the bottom of the plate.
