Nunclon® Delta Surface Treated ( - Highly Hydrophilic for Cell Attachment and Growth + )
Superior quality Nunclon Delta surface treated plastic, for cell culture applications, maximizes adhesion for a broad range of cell types. The Nunclon Delta surface is a fully synthetic, energy-treated modified surface that makes the otherwise very hydrophobic polystyrene surface highly hydrophilic, thus facilitating excellent cell attachment and growth. A Nunclon Delta Quality Certificate is provided with every case of Nunc product ensuring superior quality standards and lot-to-lot consistency for maximum reproducibility. Every lot of Nunclon Delta plastic is tested and validated with trusted Gibco media, across four cell lines.
CHAMBER SLIDES
1.) Nunc Lab-Tek Glass and Permanox Plastic Chamber Slides
Nunclon® Delta Cell Culture Treated, grow, stain, and examine cells directly on the Nunc™ Lab-Tek™ Chamber Slide™, which consists of a polystyrene media chamber attached to a microscopic slide (25x75mm). They are designed with a removable media chamber and gasket for easy microscopic examinations.
• Slide surface is specially Nunclon Delta treated for adherent cell culture.
• Choose either specialty washed Soda Lime Glass slide or Permanox Plastic slide (cell attachment optimized).
• Media chambers are easily removable, without the need for a tool.
Glass Chamber Slides (soda lime glass) assure optimal clarity with minimal autofluorescence. Glass is more resistant than plastics to solvents, acids, bases, and heat. Permanox Plastic Chamber Slides are solvent resistant (not with Xylene or Toluene, INQUIRE for complete reagent compatibility information before using). Permanox a special, oxygen permeable polymer optimized for cell attachment. (Also note, special mounting medium is required, INQUIRE.)
2.) Nunc Lab-Tek II Glass Chamber Slides
Although designed to mimic the original product in terms of configuration and functionality, Lab-Tek® II Chamber Slides, made form soda lime glass, have some distinct differences.
• Glass Slides are specially Nunclon Delta treated using a unique washing procedure called RS. This propriety treatment provides a consistent growth surface to facilitate cell attachment and growth.
• A unique biocompatible adhesive seals the media chamber securely to the glass slide and is retained on the plastic component when removed from the slide which expedites the coverslipping process (Slide Separator and Separator Keys are included).
• An inert hydrophobic border defines the cell culture areas after the media chamber removal, while preventing cross contamination when diagnostic reagents are applied. The original chamber slides have a removable silicone gasket. Lab-Tek® II Chamber Slides have clearly etched ID numbers in the printed border for microscopic orientation.
• The cover is equipped with a handle for aseptic manipulations, ensures one way orientation, and allows gas exchange while minimizing evaporation.
3.) Nunc Lab-Tek II CC² Glass Chamber Slides
The surface of CC2 Chamber Slides enable cell growth (e.g. neurons) directly on an aminated glass slide which features a chemically modified CC² growth surface that mimics the characters of polylysine coating. The surface of CC Chamber Slides have been modified for culturing and growing fastidious cells. Also, surfaces have been chemically modified to create optimal binding sites for primary neurons, poorly adherent cell lines and anchorage dependent cells. The surfaces have been modified by adding positively charged functional groups to react like biologically coated surfaces, similar to polystyrene. Modified growth surfaces will remain stable without refrigeration.
• Design is identical to standard Nunc Lab-Tek® II Chamber slides.
• The chamber and the glass slide sections of the CC2 Chamber Slide can be separated by the included removal tool, like the standard Nunc Lab-Tek.
• To differentiate from standard Lab-Tek units, the CC2 Chamber Slide's writing area is light blue rather than white.
CHAMBERED COVERGLASS
1.) Nunc Lab-Tek Chambered Coverglass
Feature chambers mounted to #1 coverglass to provide optimal characteristics required for high magnification, confocal, and live imaging analysis. Grow, stain and view living cells on a single device. Nunc™ Lab-Tek™ Chambered Coverglass with a No. 1 borosilicate glass coverglass bottom offers the optical characteristics required for high magnification and confocal image analysis. Available in 1-, 2-, 4-, and 8-welll formats. The upper chamber structure cannot be removed from the coverglass.
2.) Nunc Lab-Tek II Chambered Coverglass
Feature chambers mounted to thin #1.5 coverglass to provide optimal characteristics required for high magnification, confocal, and live imaging analysis. Culture, examine, and analyze living cells on a single device. Nunc™ Lab-Tek™ II Chambered Coverglass with a thin No. 1.5 borosilicate glass coverglass bottom offers the ideal optical characteristics required for high-magnification microscopy and confocal image analysis. Available in 1-, 2-, 4-, and 8-well formats. The upper chamber structure cannot be removed from the coverglass.
FLASKS ON A SLIDE
Culture cells directly on microscope slides with the Nunc™ Lab-Tek Flask on Slide, ideal for single-cell autoradiography and single-cell immunofluorescence. Features Nunc's hydrophilic Nunclon® Delta treated surface.
1.) Flaskette™
The Flaskette is a glass slide that is sealed with a silicone gasket to a 20 x 50mm upper flask structure. They can be sealed to exclude air, useful when embedding cells in resin for electron microscopy.
2.) SlideFlask™
The SlideFlask is a cell culture-treated polystyrene slide that is attached to a 18 x 50mm flask structure via ultrasonic weld, allowing for long-term, leak-free incubation. The upper flask structure snaps away easily after culture, freeing slide for cytostaining and microscopic examination. The SlideFlask is Nunclon™ Delta treated and certified suitable for cell and tissue culture. Flask has 9 mm I.D. canted neck with plastic screw cap. Chamber floor is 18 x 50 mm; working volume approximately 5 ml. Slide is 1 mm thick with frosted end for marking. A coverglass (#AG1862, 18 x 50mm) is available for sample preservation.
3.) Coverglass for SlideFlask (Flask on Slide)
Secure content on a slide - seed, incubate, fix and stain culture cells on a single microcscope slide. For use with SlideFlask (aka Flask on Side), measures18 x 50mm. Ideal for single-cell autoradiography and single-cell immunofluorescence.
