Omega Plasmid DNA Isolation Kits from Life Science Products, Inc. combine the time tested alkaline-lysis and spin-column methodogy with our proprietary HiBind silica membrane-like matrix technology. By rapidly and quantitatively binding DNA, these Omega HiBind spin-columns effectively eliminate labor intensive steps required in traditional plasmid purification including phenol-chloroform extraction, cesium chloride banding, alcohol precipitation, and gravity-flow ion-exchange column procedures.
