Star-Foot CryoTubes Cryogenic Vials, Self-Standing with Writing Surface

  • Star foot is designed to interlock into a Star-Rack for a one-handed operation to maximize productivity
  • Designed to withstand immersion into liquid nitrogen vapor phase, ONLY
  • Vials are 12.5mm in diameter and are designed to fit into freezer canes and popular freezer storage containers
  • Designed for low temperature freezing and storage of cells, blood, serum and other biological
  • Certificate of Quality guarantees the vials to be sterile, non-toxic, non-mutagenic, and non-pyrogenic
  • ScrewCaps incorporate special silicone gaskets to assure maximum protection from leakage
  • Choose internal or external threaded ScrewCaps. Made from specially formulated, transparent polypropylene
  • White writing surface on the tube allows for easy sample identification
  • Reference marks and recommended working volumes are imprinted on the tube 

CAUTION: Use CryoFlex™ Tubing Lengths when immersing vials into liquid nitrogen (liquid phase)

  • CryoTubes are designed ONLY to withstand immersion into liquid nitrogen vapor phase.
  • Since there is not a mechanical closure cap available that can be guaranteed to be 100% leak-tight, do not drop CryoTube vials into the liquid nitrogen 'liquid phase' unless they are properly encased and sealed in heat-shrinkable CryoFlex Tubing Lengths (#CD39580). Note, instructions on proper use, technique, heat sealing, and cutting (sizing) to specific CryoTube sizes for CryoFlex Lengths are included with CryoFlex packaging.
