This specially distilled mercury filled thermometer is made in accordance with and meet SAMA* accuracy-requirements and range specifications. Mercury thermometers are especially useful for temperatures above 150°C or when high accuracy is required. Partial immersion thermometers are calibrated to read correctly when only 3” (76mm) of the stem is immersed in the liquid being measured. Choice of color is dependent on the better contrast and visibility against the mercury column. LifeLINE™ brand thermometers have a number of extra quality features. Each thermometer has a mercury expansion chamber, reinforced bulbs to prevent breakage, honzontally printed scales that are easy to read, non-roll caps and scales printed into the glass rather than on the surface. Each thermometer is packaged in a sturdy plastic tube with an end cap.
